Killara has outstanding programs in creative and performing arts, with students' work regularly featured in annual HSC ENCORE and ArtExpress showcases. Major design projects of Killara students have been highlighted in HSC DesignTech and Texstyle exhibitions.
Dance, drama and music ensembles make use of the professional performance facilities in the Kerrabee Centre and rehearsal studios.The learning and growth of each student is fostered through state of the art technology infrastructure, the provision of a broad curriculum, a diverse range of sports and opportunities for interschool, state, national and international level competition. A culture of high expectation, care, responsibility, acceptance of difference and respect for others underpins student success.
The academic program offered is enhanced by a wide range of student leadership opportunities, a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme Program and service learning opportunities for all students. Most students proceed to university or TAFE after Year 12.
Former students include many university medallists, leaders in academia, the professions and business as well as actors and directors and Australian representatives in sport.
