oncord West Public School provides excellent educational opportunities and has been doing so since 1929.
We cater for a diverse community. It represents over forty different cultural and linguistic groups.
Our facilities include 21st century learning spaces and technology and students experience a diverse curriculum with educational experiences that are designed so that all children can reach their personal, social and academic potential. Our school encourages high academic, sporting and performing arts achievements.
Teachers provide excellent, research-based literacy and numeracy programs provide challenging opportunities for our gifted students and successful support programs to extend students with learning difficulties. Students are provided a diverse, high-quality physical education and sports program with a specialist sports teacher catering for Years 3 to 6.
They also benefit from regular opportunities to develop their skills in public speaking, debating and coding. We have been awarded the 'Excellence in Performing Arts' award and the 'Excellence in School Community Partnerships' award by the NSW Department of Education and Community.
Concord West Public School students all particpate in weekly music lessons with a specialist music teacher. Many of our students participate in one of our instrumental ensembles which include bands, string, percussion, guitar and keyboard groups in addition to our choral groups.
Our biennial musical productions are recognised as exceptional performing arts achievements. We participate in state instrumental and choral festivals and many students are members of our esteemed interschool orchestra, Symphonia Jubilate.
The Concord West Public School community is committed to the creation of a supportive, cooperative, safe and friendly environment. Before and after school care and vacation care are also provided on site.
