About

About Sydney Grammar School

Sydney Grammar School is one of the oldest and most academically prestigious boys schools in Australia, founded in 1819 by an Act of Parliament under the patronage of the Governor of NSW. The school operates across multiple campuses under a single ACARA registration: the senior school (Forms I-VI / Years 7-12) at College Street, Darlinghurst, and two preparatory schools (K-6) at Edgecliff and St Ives. Non-denominational independent. The school has produced more Australian Prime Ministers, High Court justices and Nobel laureates than any other school. Strong academic and arts programs; consistently top-tier HSC results.
