About Newington College
Newington College in Stanmore is one of Australia's oldest and most respected independent boys schools. Founded in 1863 by the Methodist (now Uniting) Church, it is a member of the Athletic Association of the Great Public Schools (GPS) and known nationally for the breadth of its academic, sporting and music programs. The college enrols approximately 2,000 boys across a K-12 day campus and boarding house, with the Wyvern preparatory school for Years K-6 and the main senior campus on Stanmore Road. Strong HSC results, distinguished alumni across politics, business and the law.
